"Everything Absolutely Matters" Music Video is LIVE! Plus: 10 Codex Vitae tracks mastered

“Everything Absolutely Matters” follows Doc and Kari moving through other people’s relationships, reminding them of something we all forget sometimes: tell people you love them while you still can. This one isn’t really about perfect endings. It’s about not letting pride, anger, time, or silence do the talking for you. Say it. Fix it if you can. Love people loudly. Everything absolutely matters. Call a loved one after this. They will listen. Make amends. Love them. Album update: we have 10 tracks mastered for Codex Vitae so far, with more on the way. The album is coming soon.
"Dark Orchid" is out now
Ashes Gone has released “Dark Orchid,” an atmospheric and mathematically driven exploration of motion, connection, and the strange geometry hidden throughout nature and the universe. Built around a recurring five-note musical “spiral,” the composition moves through shifting 11/8, 13/8, and 6/8 time signatures while bass, guitar, drums, synth, and ethereal vocals continually reinterpret the same musical idea. For anyone curious about what is happening beneath the surface, we’ve also created an interactive visual score synchronized to the finished track, allowing listeners to watch the rhythms, musical spiral, meter changes, and vocal entrances unfold alongside the music.
"Looking at Me" Music Video is LIVE!

From the upcoming Codex Vitae, “Looking at Me” confronts the terrifying intimacy of being fully seen. The song moves between vulnerability and self-acceptance, turning desire, doubt, and recognition into a slow-burning anthem about learning to stand in your own reflection without flinching.
"Hell is Empty" Music Video is LIVE!

“Hell is empty, and all the devils are here.” - William Shakespeare, "The Tempest" Inspired by Shakespeare’s "The Tempest", “Hell Is Empty” takes one of the darkest lines in the play and gives it a modern, deeply personal meaning.
"Color" Music Video is LIVE!
“Color” turns emotion into atmosphere, using light, texture, and movement to explore the way feeling can reshape the self. It sits between weight and release, blending cinematic darkness with a vivid sense of awakening as Ashes Gone pulls every shade of memory and desire into one restless, beautiful frame.
"Ethereal" Music Video is Live!
"Ethereal" is a song about searching for something you cannot name, moving past everything the world insists should be enough, and recognizing the one thing that finally feels real. Built around Ashes Gone's atmospheric guitars, deep bass-baritone vocals, haunting strings, and a slow, dreamlike pulse, Ethereal drifts between longing and discovery.
Codex Animae is out now

Our new album Codex Animae is now live on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
"Nothing Between" Music Video is Live!
"Nothing Between" is a dark, sensual journey into complete surrender; two souls alone in a moonlit room, stripped of distance, doubt, and restraint. Blending intimate vocals, atmospheric guitars, and slow-burning intensity, Ashes Gone captures the moment when desire becomes trust, and nothing remains between two people except the truth.

"Shepherds of the Well" Preview Track Released
Preview track from our upcoming album Codex Animae: "Shepherds of the Well" is a dark, anthemic call to protect the vulnerable when the world turns cruel. About
Ashes Gone is a dark meditation on connection, memory, and the fragile spaces between two souls when the world burns around them. Led by Matthew “Doc” Martin, the project moves through shadow and revelation with deliberate gravity; songs that explore love, betrayal, longing, and the strange clarity that sometimes emerges from emotional ruin. Doc’s voice sits low and intimate at the center of it all, grounded and reflective, guiding listeners through moments of tension, surrender, and quiet transcendence. The music never rushes; it unfolds like smoke in slow air, each piece revealing another layer of meaning beneath the ashes.
Alongside him are two collaborators whose voices and instruments shape the emotional architecture of the record. Valeria Z., a soprano from Calgary, brings an ethereal counterpoint; her crystal-clear vocals and violin lines drifting above the darkness like distant light, adding fragility and beauty to the project’s heavier themes.
Guitarist Evan, a melodic metal player from Leeds with a deep love of layered, evolving sound, builds the sonic landscape beneath them: rising guitars, hypnotic rhythm, and moments of controlled intensity that push the music forward without breaking its spell. Together they create something atmospheric yet deeply human; an exploration of what remains after everything familiar has burned away, and the quiet possibility that something new might still rise from the embers.
Behind the lens and between the lines stands Kari, a creative force whose vision has shaped how the world sees and hears Ashes Gone. As producer of the last three music videos, she brings a cinematic eye and an intuitive sense of story that elevates each visual piece into something truly memorable. Her writing contribution to “That Space Between” on Codex Veritas reveals a poetic sensibility that resonates on a deeply personal level—a muse in the truest sense, whose creative instincts continue to push the project into bold new territory.
